It occurs to me that if we all do the same thing, we can make a huge impact. If all of us who see that humanity is going to die if we don't take drastic action can agree on a course of action, we can be effective. We all tried supporting Bernie. That didn't work, but it wasn't because we failed; it's because we were fighting on the system's terms.

OF COURSE we lost. The game was rigged from the beginning. But if we fight on our OWN terms...we can win.

The occupy Movement scared the living s*** out of the establishment, both parties. They rolled out tanks in a coordinated nationwide attack to shut it down. They revealed the iron fist behind the velvet glove, and they usually try to avoid doing that. Why did they take that chance?

Because Occupy wasn't playing their game. They were beyond the control of the Establishment. They met face to face, making it harder for the establishment to monitor or troll them. They had no leaders (despite the best efforts of the Democratic party to claim leadership), so there was no one to corrupt or intimidate. They met in public spaces, so that the vast oppressed people of this country could see them and know that they weren't alone. THAT'S why Obama coordinated the nationwide crushing of the Occupy Movement: they were a real threat to the power of the elite.

What does that tell us?

I think it tells us that we have the power to threaten them, if we use it right. More than that: we can overthrow them. It's just a matter of fighting on our ground and our terms, not theirs.

Right now there's a hell of a lot of people who are (like me) angry and scared. There are more of us than we realize. A hell of a lot of people understand that what's happening is going to end up killing us all. So if we all can find a way to act together effectively...without being co-opted by Democratic groups or leaders or allowing trolls to overrun us...

We can win. All it will take is to figure out what approach to take. Maybe we need to revive the Occupy Movement, with improvements so that it can't be wiped out by denying it access to public spaces. Maybe we all need to join something like Extinction Rebellion or some other mass protest group. I think it's pretty clear that politics is not the way to go. Starting a new party is a nice fantasy, but it by itself will never be able to get the kind of power and traction in time to save billions of lives. That's not to say that we can't have a new progressive political party. It's just saying that depending on any one angle of attack is a mistake. We are multitudes; the numbers are on our side. We can take more than one avenue of approach at the same time. A new Occupy. Mass protests. A new political party, maybe. But altogether, the goal has to be survival. Because it's down to that, now.

Elizabeth Warren's proposal is actually a back-door way to make working people pay more without realizing it. Right now, for those who get health care through their employer, part of their compensation is their health insurance cost. Say your health insurance costs $15,000, and you make $50,000; your total compensation is actually $65,000. Under Bernie's plan, your employer would have to give that $15,000 to you as part of your salary, once Medicare for All was implemented. You might pay (for example) $4,000 more per year in taxes, but you would be GETTING $15,000 more per year - PLUS full medical, dental, and vision coverage, with no premiums or co-pays. That's a huge increase.

But Warren wants to take that money and use it to pay for her "Medicare for All". That means that you would lose that $15,000! Ordinary workers will be footing the bill, if they happen to have been getting health insurance through their employer. It's a massive screw-job, carefully engineered to avoid "raising taxes" while nonetheless sticking the working people of America with most of the bill.

That Warren is willing to do that shows just how much she's in the pockets of the elite.

Good news, everyone! The Democratic leadership in the House is acting swiftly to block any action towards a Green New Deal. Instead, they're going to revive an old and ineffectual "climate change" committee, which will be chaired by a congresswoman who has received $73,000 from Big Energy. To everyone's surprise, she has refused to take the "no fossil fuel money pledge", and announced that keeping Congresspeople who take Big Energy money off of her committee would violate the First Amendment.

At this point, we have no information to indicate if any climate activists or new progressive Representatives will be on the committee.

What more to the Democrats need to do to prove that their sole goal when it comes to the coming climate holocaust, their sole goal is to forestall any action while their wealthy owners rake in all the cash that they can, and hasten the coming extinction event? These people are literally working to kill off the human race. I can't help but wonder why.

Are they simply too stupid or ignorant to realize that they are killing off the planet for their own descendants, as well?

Do they just not care about about the survival of the species? That would make them sociopaths, which...is actually pretty easy to believe.

Or perhaps they think that they can escape the environmental implosion in underground bunkers in New Zealand, or out in space. Neither of those are likely to work, of course, and they're remarkably evil. But that's the most "sane" possibility. In any case, these people are working to kill us, our children, and billions of other human beings. A rational people would have thrown them out of power and stripped them of their assets (most definitely including their plutocrat masters and their megacorporations) at the very least. But instead we watch, stunned, as they continue their implacable process of killing our world and our future dead, dead, dead.

Why?

Welcome!
